Daman Nepal

Location:-
Daman lies 2322m above sea level in Makwanpur district and is 75 km South- West of Kathmandu Valley and 55 km from Hetauda. It is located on Tribhuvan Highway between Kathmandu and town of  Hetauda.
Introduction:-
Daman is a popular viewpoint of all highest mountains above 8000 meters in Nepal atop a hill. It lies eighty km (50 miles) southwest of Kathmandu at 2400 m above the sea. A car takes 3 hours to approach via Kathmandu-Pokhara highway until Naubise (29 km). Afterward, a separate left side road goes next 51 km to reach the destination. The place offers fresh air, tranquility, greenery and panoramic views of the Himalayas, forest, village, and a green hill.

Daman has a telescope attached tower above the forest-clad hill, which takes an entrance to observe entire Himalayan views, including the Mount Everest (8848 m) in the east and Dhaulagiri (8167 m) in the west. It  is an approximate 400 km length. Tourist will observe entire eight world highest mountains of Nepal on a clear day. There is a rhododendron forest along the highway. Flowers blooms in the spring that changes the forest into a colorful garden. Sunrise and sunset views are also interesting.

Daman is an interesting for nature lovers. There is a botanical garden to explore numerous species of vegetation. Thirty minutes hiking takes to religious shrines, such as a monastery, Indra Sarover and Rishikeswor Mahadev Temple with spring water. Vajrabarahi and Palung Village can be visited along the highway. Domestic and international tourists go to visit in winter to enjoy snowfalls. Simple to tourist standard hotels are available for overnight rest.  Hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, and fishing trip to the Kulekhani River is available there. Honeymoon couples are welcomed in the pleasant place.

Daman is a hilly area having plethora of tourism potential. So it has become the worldwide popular destination among tourists. For a view of the breathtaking grandeur of the world's highest peaks from the far west of Dhaulagiri to the east of Mt. Everest, there is no better place than Daman. It lies eighty kilometers south-west of Kathmandu on the mountain highway known as Tribhuvan Rajpath and has a view tower fitted with a long range telescope. 
Climate:-
The hill is chilly throughout the year and thus heavy snowfall can be experienced here especially during winter season (pushmagh).

Major Attractions:-
1. Scenes of sunrise and sunset can be seen more clearly from Daman than from nearby hills (like Nagarkot and Phulchowki) of Kathmandu Valley.

2. Availability of View Tower: The View Tower was made in 2013 B.S. during the reign of King Mahendra and is equipped with telescope through which rhododendron flowers covered hills of Hetauda and lifestyle of nearby villages can be viewed after paying a small fee.

3. A Tibetan Monastery and Temple of Riseswor .

4. Green hill and tranquil environment far from hustle and bustle of the city.

2 Hotel Sherpa which provides double room for NRs250 but there is no variety in food here as it serves onld Dal Bhat as its menu.
3 Daman Mountain Resort: It provides a tent for NRs800.

How to Reach?
Buses and Micro buses are easily available from Kalanki.
2 Car can be hired from Hetauda which takes 4 hrs. ride to reach Daman as it passes throughVaise and Barabise on the way.
